Where We Began
One music scene.
A growing forest.
Gem City Guild began with Dayton Music Scene in 2016.
What started as a way to connect and celebrate local music became something deeper: a place where relationships formed, people helped one another, and creativity became a way to strengthen community.
Over time, the vision grew beyond a single scene. Artists were never the only Builders. Venues, photographers, producers, volunteers, businesses, mentors, neighbors, and community partners were building too.
Gem City Guild was created to bring those Builders together—not as a freelancer marketplace, but as a trusted, vetted community shaped by character, safety, excellence, and belonging.

The Guild House gives that promise a place. Our dream is not simply to build an organization. Our dream is to build a home, because home is more than a building. Home is belonging.
